Anand Anandalingam, Dean of Robert H. Smith School of Business, visits Business School
  May 15, 2008: Anand Anandalingam, senior associate Dean of Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland (U.S.A), visited Business School (BS) on May 14, and had a meeting with Zhang Xinmin, Dean of BS, Zhang Jianping, Associate Dean of BS, and Wang Zhihui, Assistant Dean of BS.  The other guests included Anil K. Gupta, professor of strategic management from Smith School, and Ms. Eileen Spear, Senior Director for Global Programs of Smith School.

  Dean Zhang Xinmin extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests at first, and then he presented the basic situation of Business School, including subjects developing, faculty training, etc. He pointed that, during the past several years, taken the Sino-US EMBA Program as a platform, the Business School and the Smith School have been keeping fruitful cooperation in the filed of academic research and instructing method exchange. Dean Anand introduced the academic programs, faculty, as well as the teaching advantage of Smith School. When talking about the communication in the future, they both expressed their desire to promote the communication and cooperation between the two schools. They also communicated and reached an outline agreement in many key issues concerned with the EMBA Program, such as its running mode, training objects, faculty members and curriculum.
