The third Cross Cultural Exchange Meeting with the title of “Cultural Festival of the Global Village” is held in Chengxin Building on the evening of Sep 29, 2009.
Initiated by Professor Fu Huifen, Chair of Marketing Department, and supported by IMBA Office and Marketing Association, the Cross Cultural Exchange Meeting is held successfully by and for the previous two batches of IMBA students.
The concept of “Global Village”, quoted from The Globalization of Markets, written by Professor Levitt of Harvard Business School, is elaborately chosen by Professor Fu and IMBA students, indicating that people from different countries live in one world with many similarities, so enterprises could develop the standard marketing in different countries.
In the following two hours, student-representatives from China, France, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Mongol, Vietnam, Iran and Guyana introduce their countries from geological, political, economic, cultural and religious angles, showing the audience a colorful and beautiful picture of the countries in our global village.
Professor Xiong Wei, deputy Chair of Marketing Department gives the final speech for the Cross Cultural Exchange Meeting, indicating that the joy and applaud are not the end of the activity, it is just the beginning of the exchange and communication among students, and she sincerely hopes that students could enhance the communication and cooperate well in marketing projects, improving the communication and negotiation capability.
Based on the English communication skills, this Cultural Festival of the Global Village enriches IMBA students’ academic study and extracurricular life, helping students in the global village enjoy the cultural festival in a harmonious and friendly atmosphere.
