Educational objectives
The Department of Business Administration targets on forging future elites that are well-developed both intellectually and morally, top-notch talents with international vision and initiative, and inter-disciplinary professionals of multinational enterprise operation and capacity of dealing with other foreign affairs. The department has always been adhering to the educational philosophy that combines internationalization and localization. We assure to provide our students with a compatible and open management knowledge system consisting of knowledge in management, economics, finance, law, humanistic and social science. Students can acquire the most leading and frontier knowledge through our vigorous training, and understand the international operation concept and mode of our daily world.

Degrees:
Undergraduate Majors:
The major of Business Administration (the Honor Class of International Management). Sailing before the wind of globalization, the international business school of UIBE established the Honor Class of International Management to forge talents with the competence of transnational operation in the year 2009. This major was established on the basis of former major international business management. The Honor Class of International Management targets on offering talent minds with international horizon, creativity, capacity of transnational enterprise operation and other international business skills to the future world. All the courses in this major are delivered in the form of pure English teaching or bilingual education.

Graduate Majors:
The major of enterprise management. Research areas include International Enterprise Management and strategic management. The department adopts sophisticated Curriculum system of education and well-developed tutorial system of education. We also provide different academic seminars and group discussions. The final aim of this major is to nurture the independent research capability of master students.

Doctoral:
The major of Enterprise management. Research areas include strategic management and transnational operation. The doctoral level of training in Department of Business Administration is held on a basis of internationalization. We dedicated to offer the PhD students with the most cutting-edge research and forge their capability of international publication and leading research. The department invites high-end international experts and scholars to give lectures and courses to doctor students.

Subject status
The enterprise management subject was listed as the Municipal Key Discipline of Beijing in the year 2003, and was named as the Supported Discipline of Beijing in the year 2012. Faculty of Department of Business Administration was awarded the National Teaching Team in the year 2009. Such courses offered by management as international enterprise management, medium and small business administration were awarded as National high quality courses, and the course strategic management is listed as the National Bilingual Teaching Demonstration course.

Feature of Teaching
Department of Business Administration are one of the most leading departments in Chinese Universities that introduce international enterprise management into academic and practice, and are among the earliest departments that offer international management major. The department has always insists on developing the international horizon and initiatives of students. Following the educational philosophy of the combination of internationalization and localization, the department makes sure that students can build a systematical, thorough, compatible and open base of knowledge through learning. Core courses of Department of Business Administration are all delivered in English. Department of Business Administration has always been concentrating on the comprehensive application of knowledge of different management disciplines, and the combination of theory and practice. The department will devote more to develop graduates with solid knowledge base and strong application ability in transnational management.

Faculty:
There are 22 teachers in the Department of Business Administration. 7 doctoral supervisors, 12 full professors, 9 associate professors and 1 assistant professor. Research areas include strategic management, international supply chain management, operation management, management science, industrial organizational theory, medium and small business administration and corporate social responsibility. Many teachers in the department have international background. Faculty of Department of Business Administration is a team of balance structure and solid theory capability. They have published multiple high-end papers on the top notch journals in English and Chinese journals and have also hosted national nature science foundation and national social science foundation projects.

Employment of graduates
Graduates of the Department of Business Administration have been keeping a record of best employment condition all over Chinese Universities. The main destination of our graduates is: large state-owned enterprise, Well-known foreign companies, financial institutions, investment banks, and consulting companies.
