The Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (growing out of Department of Statistics and Technical Economics) was founded on September, 1982 by the approval of Business School of UIBE. This new department meets Business School of UIBE’s strategic needs for strengthening business administration discipline, grasping the development trends in business administration, and meeting the needs for cultivating talented students for China and the World. It also aims to become a country-class (even world-class) research and teaching institution in the innovation and entrepreneurship management arena.
The department holds a leading position in research and education domestically while making extensive impact internationally. Aiming at improving the lever of research and education in innovation and entrepreneurship management, the department has been conducting a wide range of researches in related areas and made a well greater contribution. Passing through the unremitting endeavor makes the teaching forces stronger, academic researches more diversified and competitive advantage more advanced.

The academic research areas in our department include innovation and entrepreneurship management, project management, enterprise’s Investment and financing, technical theory and methods, etc. Currently, our faculty has 11 full-time professors, including 3 professors, 4 associate professors and 4 assistant professors.
