Based on subject areas of human resource management and organizational behavior, the Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior engages in theoretically and practically educating undergraduates of human resource management, as well as postgraduate and doctoral students of business management in human resource management direction, including (International) MBAs,etc. Furthermore, the department possesses simultaneously the functions of scientific research, teaching, service and exerting beneficial influence on the social and economic development. The department’s research field focuses on cross-cultural management in multinational operations or organizations, ranging widely from individual behaviors within the micro-environment to international human resources development. In terms of teaching, the department has strengths in English and bilingual curriculum. Alongside imparting the professional knowledge and skills, it is paying more attention to cultivating students with international perspective, intercultural thinking ability and innovative spirit to adapt to globalization and cross-cultural environment. Besides, the faculty in the department provides government agencies, foreign-funded enterprises and other foreign-related enterprises and organizations with services on organization development, human resource management and development. Also, the faculty, full of social responsibility and spirit of science, expresses their views to the public on human resource management and organizational behavior related topics of our domestic and global society, making efforts to create a healthy, scientific and fair public opinion environment.
Now the department has totally eight faculty members, among which two are professors, four associate professors and two assistant professors. The faculty recently has presided five national research projects. There have been more than ten provincial and other horizontal practical projects. All the research results were published in first-class journals at home and abroad, and subject reports adopted by government organizations and large-scale enterprises. Faculty members have abundant overseas education and working experiences, and maintain close cooperation and exchange with first-rate international scholars from the United States, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc. Under the background of economic globalization, students cultivated by the department are highly competitive in the employment process. Actually graduates are praised by the global employers.
