This is another landmark development for UIBEBS following its AACSB Initial Accreditation in 2016.
AACSB is a non-profit organization founded in 1916 by the business schools of Harvard University, Columbia University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University. Through these sessions, PRT had a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the continuous improvement efforts and achievements made by UIBEBS in teaching, thought leadership, and societal impact after year 2016. Specifically, based on the latest AACSB 2020 Business Accreditation Standards, PRT had carried out a comprehensive investigation and evaluation of all aspects of the development of UIBEBS since 2016.
PRT gave positive comments on the improvement of the feedback previous PRT identified, and fully affirmed the effectiveness of the measures taken by the School in the past five years. The School also received high recognition for its international strategy, thought leadership, societal impact, and alumni contribution made during the previous accreditation cycle. In the feedback session of interview, PRT put forward pertinent opinions and suggestions on the outcomes that UIBEBS should be improved in the future.
UIBE leadership expressed their gratitude for the constructive suggestions of PRT, and indicated that the University would assist the School to actively study the relevant issues and adopt countermeasures. UIBEBS leadership, led by the Communist Party Secretary Prof. Tiedong Wang, and the Dean, Prof. Deqiu Chen, committed that the School will further refine its strategic initiatives, actively integrate all kind of resources, and create more first-class teaching and academic research outcomes that reflect the level of internationalization, national strategic plan, and talent demand of industries. UIBEBS will continuously forge its distinctiveness and impact to cultivate more management elites with innovative thinking, global vision and social responsibility, and strive to realize the mission and vision of the School.
In recent years, through participating in various high-level accreditations at home and abroad, UIBEBS has achieved breakthroughs in discipline development, talent cultivation, faculty recruitment, and teaching and research. Since the first EQUIS accreditation obtained in 2014, the School has been awarded AACSB accreditation in 2016, CAMEA, AMBA accreditations and EQUIS re-accreditation in 2017, becoming the first business school of finance and economics universities which got four authoritative accreditations. In the next accreditation cycle, all faculty and staff members at UIBEBS will take the AACSB re-accreditation as an opportunity to accelerate the development of first-class discipline and the construction of a high-level business school.
