Our University Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Bureau of Commerce of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps

To enhance the level of our university's "Double First-Class" construction and better integrate into and serve the "Belt and Road" Initiative, a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between our university and the Bureau of Commerce of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps was held on September 10. Wen Jun, Vice President and Deputy Party Secretary of our university, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement jointly with Wang Xuyang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Bureau of Commerce of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Leaders including Li Zhenguo, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Political Commissar of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; Wang Bo, Deputy Director of the Department of Trade in Services of the Ministry of Commerce; and Li Zhongshuang, First-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, attended the event and witnessed the signing.

Wen Jun stated that as a backbone force for the stability and development of China's border areas, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps shoulders an important mission in promoting regional prosperity, opening-up along the borders, and serving the construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. As the first institution of higher learning in New China dedicated to cultivating foreign trade talents, our university has always adhered to serving the country's major strategies, the main battlefield of national economy, and the great cause of reform and opening-up, forming distinctive school-running features and unique advantages. With the  Business School as the main body, our university will carry out all-round cooperation with the Corps' Bureau of Commerce. Relying on the Corps' regional and resource advantages and our university's disciplinary features, we will jointly make contributions to serving the country's major strategic needs.

Representatives from relevant departments and units attended the signing ceremony, including the UIBE Business School, International College, Admissions and Employment Office, and Domestic Cooperation Office of our university; the Department of Trade in Services of the Ministry of Commerce; the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce; and the Corps delegation to the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services.
