"Business" Links CITIC · "Bank" Opens New Chapter - Successful Joint Learning and Construction Activity Held by International Business School at CITIC Bank Beijing Branch

On June 10, 2025, Wang Tiedong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the UIBE Business School; Zhu Qing, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Employment Office; Xie Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the UIBE Business School; Peng Jianhua, Deputy Department-level Organization Member; Tang Hao, Director of the Party and Government Office; Qin Luohan, Secretary of the Administrative Party Branch; Shao Teng, Cadre of the Domestic Cooperation Office; and more than 30 party member teachers and student representatives from the business school went to Beijing Branch of China CITIC Bank Co., Ltd. to carry out a joint learning and construction activity. Participants in the forum included Dai Dongjun, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of CITIC Bank Beijing Branch; Liu Yuan, Director of the Planning and Allocation Department of the Human Resources Department of CITIC Bank Head Office; Wen Fangyuan, Deputy Director of the Training Center; Qian Yang, Deputy Director of the General Management Department; He Lei from the Planning and Allocation Department; and representatives of UIBE graduates working at CITIC Bank Beijing Branch. The forum was hosted by Wu Qiong, General Manager of the Human Resources Department of CITIC Bank Beijing Branch.

First, the participants studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on "Vigorously Implementing the Strategy of Strengthening the Country Through Talent in the New Era and Accelerating the Construction of a World's Important Talent Center and Innovation Highland". They revisited the essence of the theory, gained consensus for forging ahead, and laid a ideological foundation for deepening bank-university cooperation.

Secretary Dai Dongjun warmly welcomed the delegation from the International Business School. He reviewed the outstanding performance of UIBE graduates in the campus recruitment of CITIC Bank Beijing Branch and their contributions to the branch. He pointed out that relying on the International Business School's consistent advantage of being shortlisted in the head office's university cooperation platform, the two sides have achieved "mutual empowerment" in projects such as training for newly-promoted grass-roots cadres. Secretary Dai introduced the branch's efforts in inheriting the red gene, implementing the "five major tasks" of finance, and measures to implement the head office's talent strategy. He also mentioned that the branch has successfully been shortlisted as a cooperative bank for UIBE's new round of time deposits, and expressed the expectation to open a new chapter of cooperation with this activity as an opportunity.

At the forum, Director Liu Yuan extended a warm welcome to the teachers and students of UIBE on behalf of CITIC Bank. He introduced CITIC Bank's historical status as a pioneer of reform and opening up, its strong strength and brand influence. He focused on elaborating the achievements of CITIC Bank's "4+7+2" talent team system construction and campus recruitment results, highly appraised the cooperation achievements with UIBE and other universities, and looked forward to exploring deeper cooperation in talent training and training in the future.

Secretary Wang Tiedong sincerely thanked CITIC Bank for its strong support for the activity. He reviewed the long-term and stable strategic cooperative relationship between UIBE and CITIC Bank, especially the contributions of the International Business School in supporting CITIC Bank's international talent training, management trainee programs, new cadre training and in-bank talent selection. Secretary Wang stated that the school expects to consolidate existing cooperation in the future, actively explore new models such as high-end talent training and in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and jointly write a new chapter of win-win cooperation.

Zhu Qing, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Employment Office, introduced the latest progress of the university's disciplines, specialties and talent training system, and thanked CITIC Bank for its strong support for the university's employment work. He pointed out that the two sides are highly compatible in talent supply and demand and have great cooperation potential. He hoped to deepen cooperation content, innovate forms, expand fields in the future, jointly build a higher-quality employment bridge for graduates, and achieve win-win results between the university and the enterprise.

During the exchange session, several UIBE alumni working at CITIC Bank Beijing Branch expressed their gratitude for the cultivation of their alma mater and placed high hopes on their younger schoolmates. Alumni representative Yin Yinan (Class of 2008) encouraged students to comprehensively improve their abilities and pursue excellence; Liu Ye (Class of 2018) shared his career growth experience and warmly looked forward to more UIBE students joining the bank. Tong Yao and Sun Mingyu, student representatives of the International Business School, also spoke actively, shared their gains from the visit, and expressed their vision for the financial industry and their expectation to join CITIC Bank based on their own experiences. In the interactive session, CITIC Bank alumni and human resources department officials provided valuable job-hunting suggestions for the students, emphasizing the importance of having both ability and moral integrity and being down-to-earth. Secretary Wang Tiedong and Deputy Director Zhu Qing had in-depth discussions with the other side on issues such as joint talent training and recruitment support in the future.

Guided by the staff of CITIC Bank, the teachers and students of UIBE Business School visited the history exhibition hall of CITIC Bank Beijing Branch on the spot, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development history and innovative achievements of CITIC Bank Beijing Branch.

This joint learning and construction activity was a complete success. Through in-depth field visits and candid forum exchanges, the two sides enhanced mutual understanding and deepened mutual trust, laying a solid foundation for more close and effective cooperation in multiple fields such as party building, talent training, financial innovation, and integration of industry, academia and research in the future. Both sides expressed the expectation to work together to continuously deepen bank-university strategic cooperation, and jointly provide strong impetus for cultivating high-quality financial talents adapting to the needs of the times and promoting the continuous innovation and steady development of the financial industry.
