Notice on Student Selection for Overseas Exchange and Visiting Programs for the 2026 Fall Semester
Dear Students,
In accordance with the notice from the University International Exchange Center, the University has launched the student selection process for the 2026 Fall Semester Overseas Exchange Programs (no tuition fees required by host universities) and Visiting Student Programs (tuition fees required by host universities; some programs are serviced by third-party institutions). Students who intend to participate in overseas exchange programs are requested to carefully read the program descriptions, selection procedures and requirements, make adequate preparations based on their own training plans, and submit applications on time according to the latest announcements released on the university and school websites.
I. Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time officially admitted students. Age must be above 18. Undergraduate students must be at least in their second year during the exchange period. Academic postgraduate students, MBA, MPAcc, MAud students and doctoral students must be at least in their first year. Additional requirements may apply for university-level programs, subject to the university notice.
- Abide by laws and disciplines, maintain good conduct at the University, and have no disciplinary records.
- Be physically and mentally healthy, with good communication skills, independent living abilities and strong adaptability.
- Maintain good academic performance at the University, with a GPA of no less than 3.0 or an average score of no less than 80. Higher requirements apply to individual programs (see program descriptions for details).
- Meet the language proficiency requirements for admission by the host university and visa requirements of the host country.
- The overseas study plan is consistent with the student’s training plan, and courses from both universities are mutually replaceable without affecting academic arrangements at the University.
- Have basic understanding of the host university and its country/region, with clear study orientation and personal academic plan.
- The student or family has sufficient financial capacity to cover all expenses arising from overseas travel and study.
- Parents or legal guardians are informed of the program details and agree to and support the application.

III. Selection Procedures
(I) University-level Programs
Students applying for the 2026 Fall university-level exchange programs must complete online applications by 24:00 on March 14 or April 15 as required by the University International Exchange Center.Students applying for the 2026 Fall university-level visiting programs must complete online applications by April 15.For details, please visit:https://geec.uibe.edu.cn/tzgg/0df951ebb2f24cdbb3f427d364082862.htm
(II) School-level Programs
- Applicants must submit application materials (Excel form + PDF scanned document) to the School email: international_bs@uibe.edu.cn before 15:00 on March 19.

- Requirements: Complete and authentic information consistent with hard-copy materials; otherwise admission will not be considered.

④ Language proficiency certificates (including CET‑4/6, TOEFL, IELTS or other foreign language certificates, if applicable)
⑤ Personal statement in Chinese and English (including personal information, understanding of the target university, exchange plan and objectives)
- Requirements: Items ①–⑤ shall be scanned into one single color PDF file, clear and complete, with a file size no larger than 2MB.
- School Selection. The School will conduct internal selection and publicize the shortlist of nominated students.
- Application to Host Universities and Follow-up Procedures.By the end of March, the School will nominate exchange students to partner universities. Students shall submit application materials as required by host institutions. The partner universities reserve the right of final admission.From April to June, students shall complete visa procedures independently; the School will assist in providing relevant documents.
IV. Scholarships and Funding
- In accordance with the Administrative Measures for Financial Support for Student Overseas Exchange Programs at the University of International Business and Economics, eligible full-time Chinese students may apply for university-level funding of 20,000 to 30,000 RMB if approved. Postgraduate students may apply for joint training funding from the Graduate School.
- School-level funding shall be implemented in accordance with the Administrative Measures for Student Overseas Exchanges, UIBE Business School.Chinese undergraduate students and full-time postgraduate students with qualified academic performance during the exchange may apply for a School subsidy of 15,000 RMB per person. Students from financially disadvantaged families may apply for additional support.Students who have received national or university-level funding will not be eligible for duplicate School-level funding.
V. Supplementary Notes
- Course selection, credit transfer and grade recognition for overseas study shall be consulted with the School academic affairs office and university-level undergraduate/graduate academic affairs offices and processed in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Please apply for a passport as soon as possible. Students without a passport must submit an application to the Exit-Entry Administration within this week and write “in process” in the passport number field. Students with existing passports should check the validity period (most countries require validity longer than 6 months after the program end date).
- Students who have not yet obtained required language certificates or do not meet language/visa standards shall not submit applications.
- Most overseas universities do not provide on-campus accommodation. Please check housing information on the official website of the host university in advance.
- During the application process, each student may select a maximum of two host universities, listed in order of preference in the “Exchange Institution” section of the application form.If the first choice is unavailable but the second choice still has vacancies, the placement may be adjusted with the student’s consent.If both choices are unavailable, the School may adjust placements according to remaining vacancies and student consent.
- Please fully understand the program details and carefully consider your personal situation before submitting applications.Once nominated, students shall not withdraw without valid reasons (including schedule conflicts, parental disagreement, lack of university housing, etc.). Students who withdraw without justification will be disqualified from future overseas exchange programs at the University.Senior students (fourth-year undergraduates / second-year master’s students) should carefully evaluate participation in short-term exchange programs, as exchange semesters may affect domestic job hunting, thesis writing and defense.
