Notice of the Business School on the Evaluation of the "Far East Horizon" Scholarship for the 2024‑2025 Academic Year (Undergraduate)
To further strengthen cooperation between enterprises and universities, actively give back to society, support the development of outstanding Chinese talents, and encourage students to study diligently, pursue innovation, help others, and aspire to become accomplished individuals, the Beijing Horizon Public Welfare Foundation has established the "UIBE Far East Horizon Scholarship" at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).
I. Eligible Recipients and Quotas
- The UIBE Far East Horizon Scholarship is awarded to outstanding full-time undergraduate students in the third and fourth years at the Business School, University of International Business and Economics.
- Quota allocation:
- 3 students from the Class of 2022
- 2 students from the Class of 2023
- Scholarship amount: 6,000 RMB per person per academic year.
II. Scholarship Evaluation Criteria
- Ranked among the top 30% of the major in comprehensive academic performance in the previous academic year.
- Served in a leading position in a student organization at or above the school level in the previous academic year, or participated in social welfare activities for more than 3 months.
- Patriotic, law-abiding, honest and trustworthy, with good moral conduct and civilized behavior.
- Actively participated in social work, social practice and public welfare activities.
- Strong learning ability, with innovative spirit and team spirit.
- Students who meet any of the following conditions are not eligible for the scholarship:
- Have received other types of university-level scholarships (excluding comprehensive scholarships);
- Have received disciplinary sanctions for violating university regulations;
- Abused power in student work;
- Have any failed courses;
- Have engaged in other behaviors that damage the reputation of the university.
III. Application Method
- Students applying for the Far East Horizon Scholarship must complete:
- The Application Form for UIBE Far East Horizon Scholarship (Appendix 1, both printed and electronic versions; printed version to be printed on both sides).
- An official Chinese academic transcript.
- The Commitment Letter (Appendix 2, one printed copy with handwritten signature).
- All the above materials must be submitted to the scholarship and financial aid group of each grade by March 16.
