Speaker: Nan Zhou, who is a famous Chinese marketing scholar, and has served as a professor of City University of Hong Kong and Chair Professor of Chang Jiang Scholars

Nan Zhou, born in 1952 at Gutian, Fujian Province, was a college student of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering of Fuzhou University. He achieved an MBA from Idaho State University in 1984 and a PhD in marketing from the University of Utah in 1987. He was a professor at City University of Hong Kong and a distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University.

In 2007, he was appointed by the Ministry of Education as the first Chang Jiang Scholar Professor in the Discipline of Business Administration, and successively served as Chang Jiang Scholar Professor and Dong Fureng Professor at Wuhan University.

In 2019, he received Journal of International Business Studies 50 Years (1970-2019) Silver Medal and the first Outstanding Contribution Award of the Marketing Research Society of China Universities. Nan Zhou is good at interpreting modern brand marketing and view of life with Tao Te Ching. In recent years, many his books published by Peking University Press such as: 《Money or Death: The Enlightenment of Tao Te Ching》, 《Starbucks in Fo Guang Mountain: The Enlightenment of Tao Te Ching》 and 《Learned Life: The Enlightenment of Tao Te Ching》,《Thousands of miles: The Enlightenment of Tao Te Ching》.
