UIBE Final Qualifying for Beijing College Student Business Plan Contest in 2013

On October 10, 2013, UIBE Final Qualifying for Beijing College Student Business Plan Contest in 2013 was successfully held in Room 216, Chengxin Building, UIBE. Eight groups of UIBE students were attending this final.

Eight teachers from Business School, International Relations School, Teaching Affair Office and the League Committee were invited as judges. Teacher Li Bumei hosted the contest.

Before the contest started, Ms. Wang Lijuan, director of Teaching Affair Office emphasized that great importance should be attached to cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit of college students. Professor Wang Yonggui expressed his sincere thanks to all the judges for their support and conveyed his best wish to all contestants.

The whole contest was made up of two parts. First, each team made a presentation on his own business plan, business philosophy, market situation, market position, profit model, marketing strategies, and financing channels within four minutes.

After the presentation, the judges gave comments on each team’s performance, raised some questions and offered suggestions. The contestants not only had a full understanding of their plans’ advantages and highlights, but became aware of disadvantages of their plans that were in need of improvements. Teacher Xu Song and Teacher Wang Yang summarized each team’s performance and gave high praise to them, pointing out that staring a business should focus on innovation.

In the end, the judges selected top four teams who would represent UIBE to attend the preliminary contest of Beijing College Student Business Plan Contest.
